The Liberal MLA for Clare-Digby says it’s unfortunate that the leader of the PC’s is criticizing the government’s investments in rural communities.
This week Jamie Baillie told Acadia News that the government have spent the last three years telling Nova Scotians the province is broke but now with an election looming, they’re throwing money around.
Gordon Wilson says it’s disparaging to see any kind of shadow cast on announcements that are so important to communities like yesterday’s regarding a community centre for Acaciaville.
“This has been a long, long journey for this community and it’s discouraging when I hear that kind of talk.”
While Baillie, speaking earlier in the week, was not referring specifically to the announcement of the Acaciaville community centre, Wilson says it shows the PC leader doesn’t understands the importance of community investment.
Wilson says the government has made hard, sometimes controversial decisions but it’s because of the difficult decisions they can make good decisions and help out communities.
