The Yarmouth High Vikings Girls hockey team took part in a tournament over the weekend in Middleton.
They won their first game over Barrington 5-0 with Saige Breton scoring twice, Hallie Moore and Kenzie Muise also scoring along with Carlie Jeffery. Kenzie Muise had two assists and Grace Hobbs and Kat Kini also had helpers.
Yarmouth lost their next game to Parkview 4-1 with a goal from Grace Hobbs, assisted by Saige Breton. Yarmouth had just eight players in the game at one point.
Hallie Moore and Kenzie Muise scored, but the Vikings fell 3-2 to Middleton in their next game. An assist went to Hannah Thurston.
Caileigh White was in net for all the games.
In the boys league on Friday, Par-en-Bas defeated Yarmouth 9-1 at Mariners Centre.
Miguel d’Eon, Hayden Young and Jadyn Samms each scored twice, Ryan Warner, Brennan Smith and Josh Greene also scored.
Drake Johnson scored for Yarmouth.
Barrington defeated Central Kings 5-4 in their home opener.
Jude Greenwood scored twice, Tanner O’Connell, Tanner Bateman and Jacob Symonds also scored.
On Saturday, the Digby Mariners defeated Yarmouth 7-5 at Mariners Centre.
Drake Johnson, Jared Minard, Liam Eyre, Shay MacPhee and Evan Saulnier scored for Yarmouth and Liam White and Bradley Verran shared time between the pipes.
Scoring for Digby were Logan Bell and Noah Titus each with two goals, Owen Titus, Braden Trimper and Ryan Gunn. Goalie Jacob Murphy had the win in net.
Barrington got their second win of the weekend at home, defeating West Kings 4-2.
Jacob Symonds scored a hat-trick and Tanner Bateman had the other goal.
On Sunday, Par-en-Bas hammered Clare 11-1 at Mariners Centre.
Josh Boudreau got a hat-trick, Ryan Warner scored twice, Miguel d’Eon, Aidan D’Arcy, Zach D’Arcy, Brennan Smith, Jadyn Samms and Hayden Young also scored.
Scoring for Clare was Luc Deveau.
