Residents in the Municipality of Shelburne can make other plans for October 15.
The municipal and school board election held across Nova Scotia will not affect them.
That’s because all candidates have been acclaimed.

Warden Roger Taylor says he’s not concerned.
He feels it could be a couple factors.
“We’ve had a good council and so I think that’s a reflection of public satisfaction. The other way that it could be looked at is that there is a disinterest in municipal politics.”
The council will have two new but not unfamiliar faces once October 15 passes.
Penny Smith who has worked with the municipality and former councillor Terry MacIntyre will replace Cathy Holmes and Ardith Van Buskirk.
Taylor says he’s run in only three municipal elections but has never experienced this issue.
“I would like to hope that it’s a reflection of the faith that people have in the job we’re doing.”
Taylor admits he still plans on campaigning to speak with residents about local issues.
