A poll by Forum Research shows Kevin O’Leary is holding a commanding lead in the federal Conservative leadership race
Over 1300 Canadians took part in the survey and 27-percent view O’Leary as the best candidate, but more than a third of respondents would rather see someone else win.
Maxime Bernier ranked second with 11-percent support.
Lisa Raitt gathered 7-percent of the votes and Michael Chong received 6-percent of the votes.
O’Leary received 31-percent of support from those who identify themselves as Conservative Party members.
He also received 49-percent support from respondents who voted for the Conservative party in the last federal election.
O’Leary announced his intention to run for the federal Conservative leadership on January 18th.
