Some organizations in Yarmouth County will receive federal funding for seniors projects.
West Nova MP Colin Fraser made the announcement at the Art Gallery of Nova Scotia – Yarmouth this morning.
The Friends of the Gallery, along with Conseil acadien de Par-en-Bas, Twin Village Social Club and Patchwork Pals Quilting Group will share the funds.
The total investment through the New Horizons for Seniors project tops $118,000.
Fraser says he’s proud of the organizations for promoting full participation of seniors in the community.
“These projects demonstrate our government’s commitment to helping seniors harness their collective energy and resources to organize and participate in local activities that are beneficial to all in our community.”
