The open house next week is in conjunction with Family Literacy Day.
Executive Director Juanita Bruneau says there will be several activities.
“We’re going to help people learn what it’s like to be a learner with disabilities. We’re going to educate people on the options
that they have available to acheive their high school diploma or GED. Educate people a little bit more about some of our programs.
We are planning to have some interactive activities for people to engage in as well.”
They will also be giving out free children’s books.
The program at the Yarmouth County Learning Network site on Water Street is offered to adults 19 years and over who do not have
a high school diploma.
They also have off-site clients for their in-home family and literacy program.
The open house will be held on Friday January 27 from 10 to 3.
The Yarmouth County Learning Network is located at 3B – 101 Water Street in the Pier 1 Complex.
