The final Southwest Stock Car Association races of the season were held at Lake Doucette Motor Speedway yesterday.
End of season awards were handed out in each class.
Justin Goodwin won the 4 Cylinder Men’s class,, with JP Arsenault in second and Dominique Hanna in third. Freeman d’Entremont was rookie of the year.
In the 4 Cylinder Women’s class, Brittany Townsend was the division winner, followed by Tam MacPhee and Angie Hurlburt. MacPhee also won rookie of the year, while Hurlburt picked up the overall sportsmanship award.
In the V8 Stock class, Joe Hari was the winner, and also won rookie of the year. Charles Poole and Mitch Bonnar finished tied for second, and George Newell was third.
In the V8 Sportsmen class, Shaun Burke came in first followed by Paul Morris and Steve MacPhee. Chris Hicks won rookie of the year.
Willard Hurlburt was also presented with the lifetime achievement award.
