The shelves at the Yarmouth food bank are well stocked going in early 2017.
Leading up the holidays there were a number of food drives which helped with supplies.
Spokesman Rev. Bill Newell says from now until spring they will have to rely on a loyal group of supporters.
“We have faithful supporters who donate year-round. without them we couldn’t get by. Food drives are a mainstay but from now until March, April food drives just aren’t as plentiful.”
Rev. Newell says people also donate cash, which helps when things are running low.

The Yarmouth Food Bank helps 325 families each month.
That represents 700 to 800 people.
Newell says it’s always a challenge but it’s people’s generosity that keeps the doors open year after year.
