The Mariners Centre in Yarmouth is offering free showers.
An announcement was made on their Facebook page this morning that the facility is open to anyone who wishes to use the showers.
This is due to the lack of water in area wells.
Mariners Centre Board Chair Harold Richardson says those wanting to use the showers should notify the front desk.
‘During the day, it’s really not a big problem, but when you get into after school time and people coming off the ice it can get busy. But there are still plenty of showers, and people are welcome to them.”
Staff ask that you bring your own towel.
Mariners Centre is open most days and evenings including weekends.
The Municipality of Barrington have also offered free showers at the Sandy Wickens Memorial Arena due to a water shortage.
