The warning has been issued many times by police. Don’t leave your vehicle unlocked.
It seems some people in Yarmouth County didn’t hear that warning. Or ignored it.
Yarmouth Rural RCMP Staff/Sargeant Ben Parry says they’re investigating several complaints of thefts from vehicles.
“In the last three days, we’ve received nine complaints of break-ins to vehicles both in the Pubnico and Argyle areas.”
Parry says people need to start locking their vehicles.
He says there are other precautions that can help deter potential thieves.
“Don’t leave valuables in your vehicle. That just really attracts criminals. Park your vehicle near your house, preferably in a lighted area.”
S/S Parry says anyone with information can call the Yarmouth Rural RCMP detachment or Crimestoppers.
