There will be emergency department closures at Digby General Hospital over the holidays.
The department is closed today through 8am tomorrow.
It will be closed again on Monday at 6pm and re-open at 8am Tuesday.
There is also a planned closure on Wednesday December 28th at 6am, re-opening that night at 8 o’clock.
The Nova Scotia Health Authority says physician availability is to blame.
They urge anyone with an emergency to call 911 or visit the nearest emergency department.
