Hart : Good Morning !
There is BIG Money in professional sports .
I always thought Professional Hockey players were among the highest paid. Turns out that Soccer , Basketball , Boxing , Baseball and Golf Tops the list of the Big Money Makers .
Cristiano Ronaldo tops the sports ‘rich list’ again. According to figures compiled by Sportico, the soccer superstar earned an eye-watering $260 million over the past year. The 40-year-old collected $200 million in salary and winnings from Al-Nassr, plus $60 million in endorsements.
Here’s the rest of the top 10…
2. Canelo Álvarez (boxing) – $137M
3. Lionel Messi (soccer) – $130M
4. Juan Soto (baseball) – $129.2M
5. LeBron James (basketball) – $128.7M
6. Karim Benzema (soccer) – $115M
7. Steph Curry (basketball) – $105.4M
8. Shohei Ohtani (baseball) – $102.5M
9. Kevin Durant (basketball) – $100.8M

Messi earned $60M on the pitch with Inter Miami CF and another $70M off it. Juan Soto’s $122.2M salary with the New York Mets powered his rise to 4th. Shohei Ohtani’s massive endorsement haul of $100M continues to dwarf his $2.5M salary with the LA Dodgers.
Interestingly – and disappointingly – no female athletes made the top 100. US tennis sensation Coco Gauff was the highest-earning female athlete for the 3rd straight year, at about $32M. Patrick Mahomes was the top-earning NFL player. The KC Chiefs QB came 17th with earnings of $80.3M.
