The Yarmouth Mariners hope to finish their longest home-stand of the season on a winning note.
It’s a big one Friday night against the Pictou County Crushers, the team they’re tied with for the last playoff spot in the division.
The Mariners and Crushers each have 18 points, Pictou County have played one less game.
Saturday night, the Mariners host the first place Summerside Western Capitals.
The Mariners have won two of their last three entering play this weekend, they are 2-2 on the home-stand so far.
Mariners add Arsenault from Wildcats:
Ahead of the weekend games, the Mariners acquired forward Michael Arsenault from the Valley Wildcats.
The 19-year-old has nine goals and 13 assists in 19 games with Valley this season, and is expected to add offence to a Mariner team that has scored the fewest goals in the MHL this year.
The Mariners sent defender Ben Manos, forward Louis-Carl Tremblay and their first-round pick in the 2026 draft to Valley in the deal.
