A 71 year old man and a 57 year old woman from Lockeport are dead after a fatal crash near Birchtown, Shelburne County yesterday. The pair from Lockeport were travelling on Highway 103 around 4pm when their vehicle collided head-on with an oncoming vehicle. The driver of the other vehicle was not hurt. Media Relations Officer Corporal Jenn Clarke says Shelburne RCMP are investigating. The Shelburne Fire Department and EHS were also on scene. The highway was closed from the time of the accident until midnight. Cpl. Clarke says their thoughts are with the victims families at this difficult time.
