A former Yarmouth Junior A Mariner forward got to play against Canada’s World Junior hockey team in a two-game exhibition series.
Mathieu Pompei, a fifth year forward with the McGill Redmen was selected to the U-Sports all-star team.
In the second game today in Blainville, Quebec, Canada won 3-0.

Pompei had a goal disallowed in the third period due to a high stick.
Last night, Canada won the opening contest 5-3.
Canada continues preparation for the World Juniors starting December 26th in Toronto and Montreal.
Pompei leads his university league in points this season.
