One person is in custody following an investigation in Digby.
In a social media post, RCMP advised residents of an increased police presence on Carleton Street in Digby just after 6:30 p.m. Monday.
They said there was no risk to the public.
At 9 p.m., officers were at Trinity Place in Yarmouth and asked people to avoid the area. The Mounties said there was still no threat to public safety.
Electricity was shut off briefly as part of the investigation.
Just after 11:30 p.m., RCMP said they had arrested one individual and would remain on the scene.
No further details have been provided.

Update (11:40 p.m.): One person has been arrested at Trinity Place and is currently in custody. The electricity, which was shut off as part of the investigation, will be restored shortly. Officers will remain in the area to continue follow-up work.
