Six arrests and over 1,900 lobsters seized in Yarmouth.
The Department of Fisheries and Oceans says two vessels on Lobster Rock Wharf were not in compliance after inspections on July 31.
DFO adds they were performing ongoing monitoring, control and surveillance efforts.
They say fishery officers seized the two boats, and were working to remove the untagged lobster traps and gear from the water.
As of June, nearly 600 lobster traps had been taken by DFO across the region.
Violations include fishing during closed times, failure to report lost gear and non-compliance.
