The 2017 Canadian Mixed Curling Championships are taking place in Yarmouth, and organizers are on the lookout for volunteers.
Those who help out can do so by keeping score, or timing the games.
Those who don’t have knowledge of curling can assist by taking tickets, or ushering people to their seats.
Chairman Rick Allwright says they’re looking for around 100 volunteers.
He says for a large event, volunteers are essential.
“Volunteers are absolutely critical to any big event that comes to our community, and this one is no different,” he says.
“We definitely rely on volunteers to make these events possible.”
Those who wish to volunteer can do so by visiting curling.ca/2017mixed, or visiting the volunteer table at this Sunday’s SWITCH event in Yarmouth.
The Canadian Mixed Curling Championships take place at the Mariner’s Centre from November 14th to 19th.
