For a Digby County man, it’s an experience he’ll never forget.
It’s also a story that 64-year-old Stanley Boudreau of Concession doesn’t mind telling.
On November 29 Boudreau got lost in woods near Weaver Settlement where he owns a woodlot.
As the day grew late Boudreau knew he had to hunker down for the night.
A night that was very cold and very wet.
“So I broke over 100 branches, and I made myself a little tee-pee under four or five spruces that were about ten feet high, and I just wrapped myself around those branches, but it wasn’t rain proof.”
The next day Boudreau heard voices nearby.
They were members of one of several ground search teams out looking for him.
He was taken by ambulance to hospital but other than cold and wet, he was OK.
Boudreau will tell his story this Sunday morning on the Y95 CJLS Weekender.
