How old were you when you got your first cellphone?
I remember being in 7th grade and actually being against needing one since my home was 2 blocks away from school at the time. Until my parents bought me an LG Rumor in 8th grade, I finally realized it was silly to not have one!
Jack White of The White Stripes turned 50 last week, one of the gifts he received was his very first cellphone!
In a post White said “Well y’all it’s either all over for me now or just the beginning. I am now the reluctant owner of a cellular telephone for the first time in my life! A lovely 50th birthday present courtesy of my gorgeous and thoughtful wife Mrs. Olivia Jean” adding “I’ve been saying that my days were numbered for years, can’t listen to my music in my car, can’t park at a parking lot by myself because of QR codes, etc.”
We live in a world where reliance on mobile phones is becoming more and more prevalent, a far stretch from the “I can call and text my friends now!” I remember from 18 years ago!
