The Yarmouth Chris Scott Construction Gateways are hosting Mosquito AA Provincials this weekend.
Eight teams from across Nova Scotia will take part in the tournament at St. Ambrose and Mariners fields.
Tournament Chair Jake MacLeay says the Gateways will be ready.
“We’ve had a good year, and we’re continuing to grow as a team and get better and better,” he says.
“We hope to capitalize on this opportunity we have, put it all together, and come through.”
Action gets underway on Friday at 2:30pm, with the Gateways taking on Hammonds Plains at St. Ambrose Field.
Yarmouth will play Tri-County at 9am and Sydney at 2pm Saturday at St. Ambrose Field.
The semi-finals go Sunday morning and the championship game is at 12:30pm at Mariners Field.
There is also an opening ceremony on Friday night at 7:30 at Mariners Field, and a skills competition on Saturday night at 7.
MacLeay says the host committee is thankful for all the volunteers and sponsors who donated to the event.
Teams from Halifax, Dartmouth, Tri-County, Hammonds Plains, Hants North, Sydney and Glace Bay will take part.
