The Nova Scotia Liberal Party will nominate their candidate this weekend in Queens-Shelburne for the next provincial election.
There are now two candidates instead of three – Vernon Oickle and Joan Bower.
Oickle is a local writer and journalist from Liverpool while Bower is a development officer and farmer from Shelburne.
Seth Renaud terminated his nomination bid this week after months of uncertainty.
The guest speaker for the event is the Liberal MLA for Clare-Digby and Deputy Speaker of the Nova Scotia House of Assembly, Gordon Wilson.
The nomination meeting will be held Saturday at 1 p.m at the Port Mouton Community Centre.
