Once again we have reached that lovely point where for the most part our hydro bills begin to let us breathe as the heaters stay off longer and longer, if they go on at all.
We’re in that period where the days are warm, and the nights are cool, for the most part. Combined with the humidity, some nights might still be making you want to flip that switch or put the AC back into the window.
My dads trick, whether it was May or August was to keep the windows open, especially at night. Adding a few fans to strategically push that air from room to room is where it really comes into play though. it’s one thing to open all your windows, but that cool air won’t do anything if it’s not blowing inside your home!
The same can be said when you finally turn your AC on, fans are your best friend, even if you don’t go into other rooms very often!
How do you keep your home cool before turning on the AC?
