A rough weekend for the Yarmouth Mariners.
The team suffered a pair of 10-3 losses to West Kent on Friday and Truro on Saturday, both at home.
Goaltender Keegan Warren was pulled in Friday’s game against the Steamers after allowing four goals in the first period, Carter Arnold played the rest of the way.
Loic Mburanumwe, Ryan Loveless and Nik Mokriakov scored for the Mariners against West Kent.
Warren sat Saturday’s game due to injury, and Yarmouth’s Noah Muise made his debut in goal in the loss.
Liam Bridger, Alexi Parent and Justin Garneau had the Mariner goals.
Yarmouth has dropped four straight games, and sit 15 points out of a playoff spot with 10 games left in the season.
If the Mariners miss the playoffs, it would be the first time that’s happened in nine years.
The Mariners play three games in four days this coming weekend, all at Mariners Centre.
They host the Valley Wildcats Friday, Truro again on Saturday and the Amherst Ramblers on Heritage Day Monday.
