Workshops are going to focus on the future of Yarmouth.
Open houses on housing, urban structure and culture, heritage and environment are set for this week.
Mayor Pam Mood says it’s the latest step in the town’s planning strategy and land-use by-law review.
“We’re looking for how you’re feeling and what you’d like to see in the future, additions, deletions, you name it. Anything the public wants to put on the table, this is a public engagement process,” said the Mayor.
The format is a short presentation followed by activities and discussion.
Mood talks about next steps.
“We’ll use this information to help our draft engagement in the fall, and then in the winter of 2026 we’ll get the final engagements done with the public. We’re looking to have the new MPS and LUB ready for spring of 2026.”
The first session on housing is happening Tuesday night at 6:30 at Mariners on Main.
