It’s a chance to get that holiday shopping done early.
NSCC Burridge Campus in Yarmouth is hosting their annual Holiday Vendors Market this Saturday from 10am-3pm.
It’s put on by the Business Administration Project Management class.
Project leader Ashley Roberts says they’ve been working hard.
“We’ve been working on this since the beginning of the semester in September. We had to have a budget approved by the school. We have a gift card tree we’re selling raffles for and so far we’ve received about $300 in donations from businesses in the area.”
Roberts says there will be something for everyone on your list.
Student Michelle Beale says it took a lot of planning and organization.
“We were quite a large group this year as opposed to previous years with 11 students. It made it easier to delegate tasks so everyone was not so overworked.”
Event proceeds will go to the Yarmouth SPCA.
Project Management Teacher Gail Grant says this is the fourth time her students have done this, but the market has been happening for years.
With over 60 vendors, Grant says this promises to be the largest event yet.
