It’s time for curling in Yarmouth.
The 2017 Canadian Mixed Curling Championships get going tonight at Mariners Centre with the opening ceremonies at 6.
That’s followed by the first draw at 7 with four games, Team Newfoundland takes on the Yukon, Ontario against New Brunswick, Saskatchewan faces Quebec and Northen Ontario plays B.C.
Team Nova Scotia will look to win their eighth mixed curling title as they start play tomorrow.
Veteran Skip Paul Flemming leads his team to Yarmouth with championships in 1999 and 2003.

Flemming is joined by husband and wife Tyler and Christie Gamble and Lead Terri Udle on Team NS.
Nova Scotia plays Ontario tomorrow at 2:30 and the Yukon in the 7pm draw.
Nick Hilton is a member of the Yarmouth Curling Club, and says he never thought he’d see a tournament like this.
Hilton has been curling for 25 years, and will have a chance to be an alternate on one of the teams, along with some other local curlers.
A sponsors reception was held last night at the curling club, where Team Nova Scotia Third Christie Gamble took on Ontario Skip Wayne Tuck in a lobster shucking contest.
14 teams from across the country are here for the tournament.
The winning team moves on to World in Switzerland next year.
