A Yarmouth County man charged with attempted murder will be back in court next week.
The case of 32 year old Nicholas Ashton Mullen of Pembroke was adjourned today in Yarmouth Provincial Court until November 14th for election and plea.
Mullen’s first appearance in court was a bail hearing yesterday.
He was denied bail by Judge James Burrill and remanded into custody.
Mullen is also charged with Careless Use of a Firearm, Pointing a Firearm and Discharging a Firearm with Intent.
The charges stem from an incident at a Pembroke home early Saturday morning.
RCMP say a 38 year old Yarmouth County man was found shot outside the residence.
Mullen was arrested at the scene without incident.
The victim was taken to hospital in Halifax with life-threatening injuries.
