Donald Trump is now the 45th president of the United States.
Trump was picked last night with 289 electoral votes compared to Hillary Clinton’s 218. (as of the posting of this story)
There are a total of 538 electoral college votes.
Trump was ‘presidential” during his acceptance speech.
“Working together, we will begin the urgent task of rebuilding our nation and renewing the American dream.”
The Republicans also won the Senate 51 to 47 for the Democrats.
The GOP will also control Congress.
In reaction to the Trump win, stock markets around the world and U.S. stock futures plunged over investor uncertainty about a Donald Trump presidency.
