Valley High School Hockey League:
Team East beat Team West 3-2 in overtime to win the Valley High School Hockey League boys all-star game yesterday at Mariners Centre.
Central Kings’ Aidan Meister scored the game winning goal, and was named offensive player of the game for this team.
Avon View’s Evan Baxter won defensive player of the game for Team East.
The top offensive player for Team West was Yarmouth Vikings forward Owen Fitzgerald, and the top defensive player was Digby’s Avery Gunn.
Team West was made up of players from the Tri-Counties.
Nova Scotia Regional Junior Hockey League:
The Southwest Storm beat Chester 7-3 Saturday night in Barrington.
Brady Nickerson and Zack Richardson each had two goals, and Devon Nickerson made 30 saves in goal.
The Storm lead the Nova Scotia Regional Junior Hockey League standings with a 17-4 record.
