Clark’s Harbour has a new Deputy Mayor.
Trudy Perry Quinlan is the first woman to hold the position in over 20 years.
Quinlan and Irene Baker were nominated at the November 1st council meeting, and Quinlan was chosen after a vote.
She says it’s an honour.
“It’s a great honour to have been nominated and voted in by my peers. They thought enough of me that I could do the job and put me there.”
Quinlan says she’s excited to continue to represent her hometown.
“I want to see Clark’s Harbour remain a nice, clean place, and a lovely place to grow up in. I have four grandchildren, and I want to see this town prosper.”
Cecil Brannen previously held the term, but he was not re-elected in the October 15th election.
Quinlan, in her second term on council says she wants to continue to see Clark’s Harbour host events and grow the economy.
