Dumping Day in LFA 34 will not happen this weekend.
After a weather call with DFO, port reps and Environment Canada this morning, it was determined it won’t be safe to start the lobster fishery on Saturday or Sunday.
Another call will take place on Saturday morning to look at a potential opening for Monday.
A Saturday opening has been ruled out for LFA 33, but another call will take place tomorrow morning to determine if it will be safe to go Sunday.
