Downtown Yarmouth’s Merry Madness is returning for its fifth year.
On November 25th and 26th, downtown businesses will offer promotions, freebies and discounts.
There’s also going to be pop up vendors from around Yarmouth County and entertainment at certain locations.
The Yarmouth Farmers Market is also participating.
“I think that the important part of this event is the fact that we’re looking to support the downtown core and the downtown businesses,” says Merry Madness committee member Jenny Wilcockson. “This is the whole reason we wanted to do the event in the first place and make it bigger every year.”
So far 21 downtown businesses have signed up to take part, there’s still time for businesses who want to get involved to sign up.
Tickets are being sold to collect stamps at each business that enter you into draws for prizes packages.

“By coming out and doing your shopping in the event rather than buying online or going to Walmart you are supporting all those small businesses who have had a hard go.” says Wilcockson.
