Dirt-bikes did some damage to a ball field in the Town of Yarmouth.
Late Sunday night or early Monday morning, the dirt infield at St. Ambrose Field on Southeast Street was torn up.
The Director of Yarmouth Recreation, the group that maintains the field, is disappointed.
Frank Grant says vandalism happens, but it’s unfortunate.
“We’re trying to have great community spaces to play, and they’re well maintained. Then we have a few trying to spoil it for the majority.”
Grant says the good news is that the grass wasn’t damaged, and it can be restored to normal.
He says if anyone sees vandalism happening or suspicious activity to notify the RCMP.
