Jeanne Spinney of Brooklyn, Yarmouth County had the winning ticket in tonight’s Chase the Ace draw in West Pubnico. There were 19 cards left in the deck as she stepped up to the podium at the West Pubnico Legion. She selected the ace of spades, and the crowd gathered at the Legion roared in applause. Spinney won over $415,000, and brought an end to the weekly fundraiser.
Chase the Ace has been on since February, and grew beyond organizers expectations. Eight facilities were selling tickets tonight between 7-9, and over 152,000 tickets were sold. Over a hundred volunteers participated.
