Low water levels in the Town of Yarmouth’s water supply has prompted a call to action for residents.
The town’s water utility is asking citizens to be mindful of their water consumption.
Mayor Pam Mood says it’s become more dry as the summer wears on.
“The water utility water does come from the Lake George watershed. The water levels are down, so that’s why we’re asking customers to be very mindful of how they’re using their water,” says Mood.
She says we’re not in a drought situation yet, but that doesn’t mean it can’t happen.
Ways to conserve water include taking shorter showers, doing fewer loads of laundry and skipping the watering of your lawn.
