The J-Strong Foundation began in 2015 in memory of Yarmouth teen Jadon Robinson
The J-Strong Softball tournament returns to the Hebron Recreation Complex at the end of the month.
Over 20 teams have registered for the event, which raises money for youth to access sport in Yarmouth County.
Since 2015, the J-Strong foundation has raised over $200,000.
Board member Steve Berry says the tournament will be held July 29-31.
“Our last two years, we did around $17,000. To say that in a two or three day tournament just speaks to the community we have. Everyone is so generous.” says Berry.
There will be auction prizes and a canteen as well.
Berry says COVID put a halt to fundraising efforts.
“Luckily with the money we’ve raised in the past, we’ve still been able to help. But with nothing coming in and lots going out, we need to replenish our funds.”
The foundation began in memory of Jadon Robinson, a high school football player from Yarmouth who loved all sports.
