Police have identified a person of interest after a shot was fired from a boat off Yarmouth County.
Around 7:50 a.m. this morning Yarmouth Rural RCMP responded to a complaint of a shot being fired from a boat near Chebogue Point.
They learned that a man onboard a fishing vessel, which was approaching another fishing vessel, fired one shot in the air.
Police say no one was injured.
The investigation is ongoing and being assisted by Fisheries and Oceans Canada.
