Two men have been charged with drug trafficking offences in Pembroke.
Last month, the Yarmouth/Clare RCMP Street Crime Enforcement Unit searched a grey Ford Escape in Tusket as part of a cocaine trafficking investigation.
The truck had previously been seized as part of an unrelated investigation.
During the search, police found and seized cocaine, a digital scale and a firearm.
RCMP have arrested 52-year-old Eric Reginald Penney and 21-year-old Devin Jeddry, both of Pembroke.
They’re facing charges of Possession of Cocaine for the Purpose of Trafficking, Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm and Possession of a Firearm when Knowing its Possession is Unauthorized.
Police say Penney was released on conditions and will appear in Yarmouth Provincial Court on August 15. No further information was released about Jeddry.
