I was in Halifax the other week and my phone died which left me in a bit of a jam! Luckily I was able to track down one of the only payphones in Halifax and attempt to use it! There was only one problem. I didn’t know my friends number I was trying to call. It’s always programed right there in my phone. So I had to call another friend and finally track down the number. It cost me like 10 bucks when I was all said ad done! Each call is around 5 dollars and you can’t use coins anymore on most of them. I suppose the have to make money somehow!
Anyway that whole experience got me thinking! I wondering if there are many around the Tri Counties anymore! There probably be a few still around for emergencies! When’s the last time you used a payphone and where was it?
