New housing for doctors in the Town Of Yarmouth has been paying off.
The old Credit Union building was renovated into the new space for the housing complex.
Rebecca Cassidy, a community navigator for Yarmouth and Area Chamber Of Commerce says it’s created a lot of positive Reponses.
“It has created a lot of excitement and awareness for the opportunities of practicing real medicine here in Southwest Nova, specifically here in Yarmouth and our areas.”
She added the housing will help them to continue in the right direction.
“Having that facility open by Coastal Financial has meant that we can level the plain field for our area when in comparison with Halifax.”
Cassidy says there are no plans at this time to renovate the complex further.
The complex has housed so far 15 Dalhousie students since it opened it’s doors Last November, with more expected in May.
