The province says alternate shower facilities are open for residents with dry wells. This is because provincial parks are closing for winter maintenance. This applies in Shelburne County, where Lockeport and Shelburne high schools are open Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 6:30-8:30 pm for shower use. Potable water is also available in the Municipality, but starting on Halloween residents have to call the office to arrange for pickup.
