The Town of Yarmouth is starting their annual water main flushing program.
Today from 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. flushing will take place in the areas of South Ohio, Hebron Industrial Park, the Hillside Estates Subdivision, Park Drive and the Sprucehills Subdivision. Flushing will take place in Dayton and Hebron from 11:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m.
The Town of Yarmouth and Acadia First Nation Reserve will follow.
Flushing will take place daily between 9:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. The only exception will be the Vancouver Street area which will be flushed from 11:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m.
The town says some water discolouration and changes in pressure may occur and people are asked to not wash clothes.
The program will take about three weeks to complete.
