The charges relate to an alleged incident that took place outside of a residence on Main Street on October 13.
RCMP said in a news release issued later that day that a 46-year-old man was transported to hospital after being stabbed
in the stomach with a knife.
His injuries were described at the time as serious but non-life threatening.
A 53-year-old man and a 30 year-old man were arrested the same day at different times.
According to documents filed at Provincial Court in Yarmouth, 53-year-old David Leonard Kelsey and
30-year-old David Joseph Kelsey have both been charged with attempting to murder Gary Woods.
Both accused also each face a charge of possession of a weapon dangerous to the public peace.
David Leonard Kelsey was released from custody at a court appearance on October 14 and is on an undertaking.
The conditions include keeping the peace and being of good behaviour, not possessing any weapons, having no contact with certain individuals and
abiding by a seven day curfew from 7:30pm to 6am.
David Joseph Kelsey remains in custody.
Both men return to court Tuesday October 25 for plea.
