In-person services returned yesterday as Canada paused to reflect on Remembrance Day.
In Yarmouth, two services were held, one at the Cenotaph on Main Street, and one at the Mariners Centre.
Dignitaries and businesses laid wreaths at the Cenotaph, as the crowd in the hundreds held two minutes of silence at 11 a.m.
At Mariners Centre, 103 year old Jim McRae, a veteran of World War II, was the oldest person to lay a wreath.
Those in attendance sang Happy Birthday to him, as he’ll turn 104 later this month.
Services were held at cenotaphs and churches across the Tri-Counties, many in-person.
