The Department of Fisheries and Oceans says an arrest was made in Shelburne County recently after an investigation.
On October 28th, 5,772 pounds of lobster and a vehicle were seized at a plant near Bear Point.
DFO says the vehicle originated from the Cape Breton area.
The lobster were released back into the ocean.
An arrested individual was later released, and DFO says no further details will be provided at this time, as it’s an ongoing investigation.
