The Municipality of Clare is holding a special election for District 7.
Warden Ronnie LeBlanc was recently elected MLA for the Clare riding, leaving his seat on council vacant.
The Municipality has announced the election will take place on November 20th.
Those interested in running must file their papers on, or in the week leading up to, October 26th by contacting the Returning Officer.
Only District 7 residents can vote in the election, which includes parts of the Meteghan, St. Martin, Bear Cove and St. Alphonse areas.
Voting can be done electronically during advanced polling starting November 12th. Paper ballots will be available on election day.
A new warden and deputy warden will be selected after the election.
