Shelburne RCMP and Ground Search and Rescue have found a missing person after a five hour search that began last night.
The search began after police were requested to conduct a wellbeing check at a home on Morvan Rd around 8:45 p.m.
According to police, a neighbour noticed the home owner’s electric mobility scooter sitting at the end of the driveway with it’s lights on since approximately 5 p.m. that evening.
RCMP responded to the request but were unable to locate the missing person on the property or inside the house. After speaking with neighbours and witnesses, they learned the person had not been seen since 3 p.m. that day.
The missing person was found shortly after 3 a.m. by a local Ground Search and Rescue team and an RCMP Police Service Dog team.
After being found to be in good health by paramedics, the person was transported home.
