Team Nova Scotia’s U16 girls baseball team took the silver medal at Atlantics over the weekend in Summerside, PEI.
They fell 9-3 to Newfoundland in the championship game.
In the playoff round, they had to defeat New Brunswick to get to the final, after losing to Newfoundland 7-6 in extra innings.
Nova Scotia went 3-0 in the round robin,
Four local girls were on the team, Michelle Saulnier of Yarmouth, Sophie Thimot of Saulnierville, Marissa Fevens of Argyle and Caitlin Graves from Port Maitland.
