The Bluenose II will make a stop in Shelburne this weekend.
On Saturday, the ship will anchor in the harbour around 3 p.m.
Communications Director for the Bluenose II Emily Sollows says they’ll be offering deck tours.
“Starting at 4 p.m and going until dusk. We’ll be allowing people on board during that time. Of course, masks, social distancing and contract tracing are required,” says Sollows.
A mobile exhibit on the 100th anniversary of the Bluenose will also be set up at the Shelburne Marine Terminal.
Sollows says it’s great for the crew to have people on board again, after not being able to host visitors due to the pandemic.
“Last year we just anchored everywhere, which was still great. We had people in canoes and kayaks surrounding the ship. But to actually be able to welcome people aboard again is an incredible feeling.”
The Bluenose will sail to Liverpool on Sunday morning.
